PREFACE

This booklet contains a genealogical table and history of the family of Late R.B. Nihal Singhji & Smt Dropadl Devi. A family tree may not be as fascinating as a Christmas tree for Christians, but certainly it is more rewarding and emotional for the members involved therein, as it transcends them upwards to their glorious ancestors and downwards to their affectionate descendants. It also contains brief biographical notes of its male members.

It is far from my mind in any manner to eulogize its members but the purpose of writing and publishing it is only for the posterity to know, generation after generation, who their ancestors were and who their present kith & kin are.

The writer is the eighth child and the fourth son of Late R.B. Nihal Singhji, among his eleven children, six sons and five daughters. At present only two of his children, namely the writer & his younger brother Virji are alive.

In the end, I express my deep gratitude to my son-in-law, Dr. Raja & my grandson, 'Cheeky' for their very fruitful help they gave me in writing this booklet, from time to time.
